Walk over to the beach for a beautiful sunrise, and later on venture to the back of our resort where you have one of the few unobstructed views of the sunset in Virginia Beach. Our gentle breezes and bay sunsets draw many people back year after year.

Surfside offers an array of events and programs that are exclusive to those who stay in the resort, and staff that is on call for any problems you may encounter. Come for a day and you may never want to leave!

Gate Pass Pick Up

The gate pass is electronic and will be texted to you on the day of your arrival shortly before check-in. It will be set for the 2pm check in time and will not work until that time. It will expire at 10am check-out time so if you do not check out on time you will not be permitted to go back into the resort. The times are nonnegotiable as we have other renters coming in and out on either side of your reservation.

Beach Rules & Seasonal Info

DOG-FRIENDLY HOURS: Your pups can enjoy the beach all day long during the off-season! No more early-morning or late-evening restrictions. Dogs can be off-leash on the sand, but they must be under reliable voice command and supervision. Don’t forget—poop removal is required year-round!

SURFING: After September 30, you can surf anywhere, anytime! Enjoy those autumn swells with no restrictions.

PARKING: From October 1 – April 30, parking is FREE at the Little Island, Sandbridge Municipal, and Sandbridge Market lots. Until then, it’s just $4 during the day and free after 6 p.m.
